  1. How long has your salon/spa been trading, bearing in mind that a minimum of two years is required?
  2. What percentage of your productive staff hold a valid PHAB Standard?
    • By productive staff we mean salon professionals who run a column. When calculating the total number of productive staff we need you to count 2 part-timers as 1 member of staff.
    • We require a minimum of 2 staff or 20% of productive staff to hold a valid PHAB Standard, whichever number is the greater before a business can apply. (See tables below for exact qualifying numbers)
  3. Based on the last 6 weeks of your business’ performance, what is the ratio of your salon’s retail sales? We work this out for you when you fill in your application form. This allows us to be fair with the standard across all businesses, meaning your service charges or retail product prices become irrelevant.
  4. Based on the last 6 weeks of your business’ performance, what percentage of your customers classify as repeat, regular, returning, request or recommended? We work this out for you when you fill in the application form
  5. Can you provide eight outstanding customer testimonials from customers who have been coming to your salon for at least two years?
  6. Can your salon accountant verify all the above points
  7. Give us the names of the top 3 manufacturers/suppliers to your business
